Crystal growth continues to be a phenomenon of great interest to scientists and engineers, involving a complex interplay of many physical effects. Various interfacial morphologies with pronounced orientational order have been observed, e.g., dendritic and faceted, depending on the physical properties of the material. The inherent complexity of such structures, including their morphological evolution, remain unexplained by existing models. Thus, there is ample potential to better understand their growth dynamics using state-of-the-art characterization methods.
